Multifunctional Textiles
Contents: Nanotechnology today plays a significant role in innovations at all levels of the textile chain. In addition to technical aspects, commercial insights and production and marketing solutions for new and upgraded textiles are also being discussed as commercialization increases: New functionalities promise success in durable, multifunctional textile systems. What does the contradiction imply between the fast cycles in the world of fashion textiles and the time it takes to roll out technical innovations? The session will present textile nanotechnology innovations for different applications in building construction, sports, or the protection of humans and objects. The program will feature representatives from leading textile companies and scientific institutes, who will be available for discussions with you after presenting illustrative examples.
Public: We extend a warm welcome to researchers, engineers, and managers from areas related to the textile industry and from academia who wish to gain an overview over new processes.
